Meet Our Team

Dr. Ihab Suwwan is currently on staff at Sick Kids Hospital.  He graduated from University of Jordon with a B.D.S. degree. In 2007, he graduated with a Master’s degree as a specialist in Paediatric Dentistry from University of Toronto. Dr. Suwwan is a member of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada and a diplomat of the American Board of Paediatric Dentistry.

 

Dr. Suwwan strongly believes in learning new aspects of dentistry and can be found continuing his education through courses each year. When he is not busy helping educate children on the importance of oral health, he spends time with his two young children and enjoys reading and continuing research. 

 

Dr. Suwwan is fluent in both English and Arabic and enjoys surprising his patients with special gifts.

Dr. Ghazala completed her Bachelors in Science degree in psychology  at McGill University. Her interest in Public Health encouraged her to obtain a Bachelors in Health Studies from York University where she graduate coma sum Laude. She subsequently received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at New York University and went on to complete her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh.  

 

Dr. Ghazala’s research focused on the effects of oral conscious sedation in paediatric patients receiving dental treatment. She is a strong believer that every child and family are unique and that it is important for the child, family and dentist to work together as a team. Dr. Ghazala values preventative dentistry and early intervention. 

 

While not at work, Dr. Ghazala enjoys spending time with family, traveling and trying out new restaurants and cuisines (if you have any food recommendations, please let her know).  She has lived in multiple cities and countries and is always looking for an adventure. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
